EVANSVILLE,
Ind. – Local jeweler Kruckemeyer & Cohn will kick off a city-wide treasure hunt — The Diamond Dash — on Sunday, Sept. 12. The “treasure” will be a $12,000 Hearts On Fire diamond ring.
During the hunt up to 250 couples will use their cell phones to receive clues and riddles that will help them find the secret location of the diamond ring. Kruckemeyer & Cohn has partnered with SCVNGR Inc to turn Evansville into a “real world board game” for The Diamond Dash.
To participate in the hunt, couples must submit their love stories to Kruckemeyer & Cohn at www.KandCDiamondDash.com. The stories will be reviewed and couples who are chosen will be invited to participate in the game. The deadline for submitting stories is Friday, Sept. 10 at 11:59 p.m. CST.
The Sept. 12 treasure hunt will begin at Evansville’s Casino Aztar Events Plaza at 11 a.m., rain or shine. The winning couple will be announced and the Hearts On Fire diamond ring presented at a 2 p.m. after-party at the Events Plaza. An on-stage proposal may even follow.
