Lisa Wiesjahn
Writer
Lisa has a diverse writing background that began at a small weekly newspaper. She admits the span of her experience can be traced to the days when people still wrote on typewriters. In the years since, Lisa’s career has led her through a range of communications positions and each one challenged her to learn a writing style she had never tried before. As a result Lisa has developed the skill to write in many different styles, for a variety of media, to a diversity of audiences.
Now fully integrated into the computer age, Lisa still relies on the basics to do her job: Asking the right questions, skillful listening, effective research and an understanding of the audience and desired message. Collaboration with clients and AXIOM team members completes the process needed before the writing ever begins. Lisa writes the spectrum – from detailed, industry-specific projects to 30-second commercials that afford few words. Getting it right is always what she asks of herself.
A native of Newburgh, Lisa graduated from the University of Evansville and Western Kentucky University with degrees in communications. She and her husband, Dan, have two sons. Lisa enjoys being involved in the drama and music programs at her church and is a “uniform mom” for her son’s high school marching band.
