The University of Evansville is a small, private college that is highly regarded both academically and in other areas, including the UE basketball team. UE basketball is a strong tradition in Evansville and the Division 1 team has captured the heart of the whole community.
To increase the fan base of UE athletics and to ultimately increase attendance at UE basketball games. Because many of UE’s die-hard fans are from an older generation, AXIOM was challenged to attract a younger crowd of basketball fans.
AXIOM suggested broadening UE basketball’s fan base by launching family-oriented promotions and themes and by getting students excited about becoming “Purple Aces” fans. AXIOM worked directly with the UE athletic department on a strategic campaign to draw in young adults, young families and UE students. Each year AXIOM creates a contemporary, high-energy theme for the full scope of UE athletics that includes brochures, program cards, tickets, T-shirts, outdoor boards, locker room graphics, vehicle wraps, participation awards and promotions through radio, newspaper and TV. AXIOM has worked with UE’s men’s and ladies' basketball, soccer, baseball, softball, tennis and swimming programs.
It has been an exciting, action-packed partnership with UE which has succeeded in increasing interest in UE athletic programs and creating a new, diverse fan base.
